About

The aim of the website is to show how rich and varied the history of art in Latvia is and can be. The content of the website will be in both English and Latvian.

The digitisation of Latvia’s heritage is currently at an early stage. The aim of the project is to showcase the different digitisation options to encourage museums and other cultural institutions and archives not only to publish material digitally, but also to use different digitisation solutions. These will help both art historians in their research and bring the rich material to a wider readership.
